yes, mostly. but it is not always the case. for example, the M2 browning was originally built to kill tanks (actually, .50 BMG was designed to kill tanks. WWI/early-inter-war armor wasn't really THAT resistant) :P

Well, I'm not exactly sure how 10mm spikes are supposed to penetrate modern tank armor and ERA.

Ah well. Maybe I shouldn't think TOO hard about it.

yeah, nowadays they'd be pretty much useless against tanks, but you can still send a round to the engine block of an average car and render it immobile. or put an incendiary round in the fuel tank for maximum lulz.
